The Sathanao Ensemble is an all-female choir renowned for its expertise in Georgian traditional music. Throughout the 20th century, it has made a significant mark on Georgian history, reviving and restoring ancient Georgian chants. Since its inception, the ensemble has meticulously worked with archival phonograph recordings to recover and preserve unique examples of Georgian folk music.

Over the years, Sathanao has organized numerous expeditions across various regions of Georgia, contributing to the enrichment of its musical heritage. The ensemble has also participated in several TV and radio programs and appeared in the 2014 Turkish television film The Wind of the Caucasus.
